  1. how to check impedances on GANGLION in MATLAB?

    wjcroft

Your replication of the code then likely has issues. Are you sending the command to the Ganglion that tells it to enter impedance mode?

There is NO direct function in Brainflow to 'automatically' do all the steps to obtain the Ganglion impedance values. My suggestion would be to look at the GUI source code that does this, and attempt

Personally, I had problems with artefacts, unless I had really low impedance on my electrodes. Afraid I can't comment in enormous detail, as I only bought the off-brand Cyton to tide me over a few mon

I can check the impedances on the GANGLION board using OpenBCI GUI for Windows, i do the connection using the dongle.

If you are talking about the impedance check feature in the OpenBCI_GUI, it might be easiest to just use the GUI initially for a few minutes with the Impedance Widget. Then close that and open your Un

Is the impedance of an electrode checked with respect to another electrode? Or is the whole circuit impedance divided by two? Which one of the three combinations do the Cyton and Ganglion use to calcu

In biosensing applications, the most important metric is the skin-electrode impedance. And this is what Cyton and Ganglion report in the GUI and APIs. In general when you see the shorter term "el

You mention 'saline', but electrodes using gel, paste or saline, generally get much lower impedance that what you show. This set of impedance looks more like dry electrodes.
