a signal at all, and having all the inputs railed. It's not completely clear to me what railing actually means, but I am assuming the DC bias is measured as being too high, and the amplifier comes in

the rest of the pins. The GUI shows that it is railed most of the time, and on the occasion that it un-rails, it displays a much higher % than the other Cyton pins. Hardware problem?

re: railed. It sounds like your REF connection is poor. When all signals have similar noise, the REF connection is shared between all channels. I still recommend you watch the video link given. It sho

pins. Seven daisy boards yield flat signals (Not Railed 0.01% 0.10 uVrms), but one shows spike from time to time, cf. the attachment. I am not sure if this is an expected behavior because I cannot ge

I would expect eeg signals that should not be railed opposing what I saw (see figure below). Could somebody please suggest me what could be possible reasons? Thank you in advance.

I just hooked up our cyton board to start training a new student on it and channels 7 and 8 show as railed (on any scale including auto). Channel 7 will occasionally respond to input but Channel 8 do

The 'railed' categorization is done purely by the OpenBCI_GUI. There is no detection of this in the ADS1299 hardware / firmware, via special 'bits' or status indications. But do note that the ADS1299

By injecting current into a channel to measure impedance, it interferes with the actual signals that can be picked up from the electrode. Also, this can only be done on one electrode at a time, since
