    I should clarify, when I said "flawlessly" I meant connecting to the GUI to board (which was not the case on Linux). I have not been able to test if packets are being dropped or not.

    Yes, I just tried it on Windows (as I dual boot Windows and Linux) and the GUI and connection works quite flawlessly. It is most definitely an OS issue.

    Bpoole, have you tried running under Windows 10 (up to date), to see if this could be an issue with your Linux distro?

    It's possible the usb ports on your laptop are wonky. Suggest trying other usb ports, or using on a usb hub extender. Or trying another laptop. Does it work on Windows or work using Linux on another m

    Have you tried running the GUI as Linux 'root', using sudo ? I think another way to go is to put your username in the dialout group.

    The GUI will not connect to BLE on linux; any suggestions? It works fine on Windows. It doesn't matter when I plug the dongle in, it always fails.

    That same link I gave (in the left column), shows buffering adjustment settings for all three OSes: Windows, macOS, and Linux. So since you've already fixed it for Windows, no need to move to Ubuntu.

    Did you try using the same /dev/cu.usbserial-DM03H6HWstring (in your --serial-port argument) that the GUI is using? The /dev/ttyUSB0 format is Linux.
