  1. Delay or Latency Between Sensors and On-Screen Feedback

    wjcroft
    by wjcroft · August 2024
As an addendum, if you are working with ERP projects and need very precise timing, then the External Trigger pages are relevant. But almost all neurofeedback is not working with that paradigm.
  2. How to start a sleep acquisition without the PC

I am considering coding the board to enable the trigger to start the acquisition independently (by adding a button or a switch). Do you have any suggestions on how to achieve this or any better ideas

What is the SOURCE of your trigger signal? The trigger can be connected through the optoisolator to the board.

The optoisolator approach can also interface with external trigger sources, other than photodiodes.

Hi Max, Thanks for the firmware. I will update it on one of our device for testing. I was wondering if your firmware writes external trigger values as well? and personally how do you convert the sd ca
  8. Bluetooth transmission lag and ERP experiments

Did you READ the link I gave? The 'trigger' signal is recorded at EXACTLY the same moment in time as the relevant stimulus recorded with the EEG. The trigger is presented on the screen and sensed with

Many ERP experimenters use some type of synchronized 'trigger' recorded signal, such as this tutorial:

Cyton has an 'external trigger' capability that may apply to your situation, provided your "synced timing markers" are of the appropriate type.

Sometimes I also found that recordings were only saved as raw data and not in Brainflow csv format, what is the trigger or condition tha GUI has to save the data in brainflow format also?

  14. Cyton+Daisy and External Triggering

    wjcroft

Regarding the external trigger. It is common to tape a photo sensor to one corner of your monitor screen. This can then drive the Cyton external trigger input.

NTP implementation is way too large to fit in the microcontroller used by Cyton. Timestamps are assigned as the packets arrive at the laptop. Thus are subject to the delays of the radio transmission,
