This was not made by OpenBCI. Please use BrainFlow Python binding. https://docs.openbci.com/ForDevelopers/SoftwareDevelopment/

@mhoskens To be more specific, we want to do targeted memory reactivation in sleep so we need to know in what sleep stage the participants are. Is this possible with openBCI software or any other software that works with openBCI? Since…

I have not tried tried the Electrode Cap overnight, but I can help answer another part of your post. Based on the spisop website I understand that we need EOG and EMG as well. Would it be possible to inform me what we need from OpenBCI additio…

Yes, optoisolator is the way to go. Any time you send a trigger from an external device (with power) to the Cyton, it's imperative to use an OptoIsolator. In the Video Experiment Doc, a button is used. Though, it draws electricity from th…

I was thinking of using the GPIO pins to flash an LED so I can synchronize the Ganglion to a USB webcam. Instead, maybe try to start the webcam recording after sending the command to start streaming data from the Ganglion to PC. Yes there wo…

@xcorr On it. Discussing with OpenBCI team on how to make this resource available again. I believe I have located the files.
-
@xcorr Can you be more specific as to the exact link that is broken? I see the broken link now referencing Google Drive.
-
I will look into this now. We updated the Docs on Tuesday of this week, though this sounds like an external link to a static resource that should not have moved.

@jrseojr You're welcome! You can continue to ask additional questions about your setup here in the Forum on this thread. Go through the points I mentioned first and see which direction you would like to go. We are here to help!

Hi there, The sampling rate of the Cyton is very stable. Please understand this before moving forward. We are all always learning, but it's best to share facts to make sure we are all on the same page. Here are some important points to conside…

GUI 5.0.5 uses BrainFlow notch filter. This is a hardware/environment related issue.
-
Signals look acceptable. Would have been better to look at the noise floor with 50Hz Notch filter.
-
Fp1 and Fp2 should have the lowest impedance. Also, can you do this in the OpenBCI GUI send a screenshot of the GUI before and during impedance check, so I can have a look at the raw signals.
-
@hansi Please, let's focus on getting good impedance signals first. Thank you for the additional information though. Try checking impedance on the forehead: Fp1 and Fp2 first. These sites do not normally have hair.
-
@wjcroft I think @hasni is close. Can you recommend or rephrase a test that can be done to ensure the board is functional?
-
You can only check impedance on one channel at a time for Cyton due to a limitation of the ADS1299 chip, as it injects a small amount of current into the channel. Doing this for multiple channels will distort the impedance readings. Take Care, RW

The OpenBCI GUI v5 displays data collected using BrainFlow - Java Binding. I think you should take a closer look at this piece of the software stack. Here are the links you need to continue working and re-evaluate what you have already tried. Ope…

Here is a more complete example of what is possible using a photodiode as an external trigger for Cyton. Please review the following repository and example carefully. https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_Experiment https://docs.openbci.com/docs…

Maybe it would be easier to use BrainFlow instead? https://brainflow.org

Hi There, Use the Networking Widget to send the data to your external application using UDP or OSC protocol. https://docs.openbci.com/docs/06Software/01-OpenBCISoftware/GUIWidgets#networking https://docs.google.com/document/u/1/d/e/2PACX-1vR_…

There's this project that might help you: https://openbci.com/community/community-members-of-the-month/ https://github.com/NTX-McGill/NeuroTechX-McGill-2019 Hope this helps, RW

I've added a link to this Forum thread to an open issue in the GUI repository. https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_GUI/issues/893

These sample data files were updated using a python script, and do not contain the latest header generated by the GUI using BrainFlow. Here is what to expect from GUI v5.05 and Cyton 8ch: %OpenBCI Raw EEG Data %Number of channels = 8 %Sample R…

Hi There, Try again with the computer with the issue and GUI v5.0.5 and try Cyton -> Serial -> Manual -> AUTO-SCAN. Then, try SYSTEM STATUS. This uses the base library for the serial port. Provide a description of what happens next and t…

You probably want to playback files then. Here is the link to join BrainFlow Slack: https://c6ber255cc.execute-api.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/Express/ Take Care, RW

@lucasbaldezzari You can use either a board emulator or the synthetic board. You are free to join the BrainFlow Slack channel for more detailed info, examples, and code that might help. https://brainflow.readthedocs.io/en/stable/SupportedBoards.h…

@jet I think you need to adjust the Serial Port latency on your Ubuntu machine. Cyton + Dongle communicates via Serial communications. You can lower the latency to 1ms. https://docs.openbci.com/docs/10Troubleshooting/FTDI_Fix_Linux Hope this h…

The GUI Widget Guide describes the Head Plot as displaying regions of "activity" - am I correct to assume this is amplitude? Much of the research I've reviewed has presented topographical EEG plots with in frequency ranges - rather than mapping c…

@TherapeuticWolverine I have roughly scheduled this to be completed by the end of the Summer, since there are co-mingled issues involved, as described in my earlier post on this thread. Here is a breakdown of what may be included in GUI 5.1.0 …

Wow this is impressive! Thank you for sharing your fix with the Community here on the Forum. @Dreambuild When you are ready, I would consider making a post on the Community section of the OpenBCI site. https://openbci.com/community Happy Hacki…
