@lei The BandPower values represent uV*2 / Hz as "Power". So for the Alpha Band, 10.3015 represents the average amplitude of the group of frequencies between 8-13 Hz. I understand how this could be difficult to translate into touchDesigner as the…

@ronykrell said: Thanks, this is super helpful! I noticed there seem to be a lot more projects out there that used the Mark IV than the gel free electrode cap. Are the systems similar enough that tutorials / knowledge articles on the Mark IV are …

LSL can be more complicated than other networking protocols. If you are pushing chunks, I think you should also receive chunks. LSL also automatically calculates timestamps of data that has not been explicitly timestamped (ex samples 1-5 in a chunk …

@wjcroft said: Again, suggesting that you may have other equipment in your area that may interfere the radio link between dongle and Cyton. It should not be necessary to place the dongle within inches of the mainboard. But glad that is working fo…

@jrseojr I would classify what you have shared as "severe packet loss". The large distortions in the TimeSeries widget are likely packet loss events. Please try the suggestions that William has shared to move the Dongle farther away from the compute…

You are free to modify the GUI to suite your needs, as it is open-source with the MIT license. Official OpenBCI hardware connects to the GUI using the BrainFlow backend. https://brainflow.org Take Care, RW

Points 1 and 2 seem out of our hands as this is a third party application. The networking widget output guide is the source of truth as to what the GUI sends out over every protocol. Point 3 has to do with the quality of the connections to the su…

The GUI and BrainFlow always save unfiltered data to file. This is a matter of policy to give users complete freedom and flexibility. This means that you can apply any filters you want when reloading the saved data from a file. GUI 5.1.0 (coming …

I wrote this error message in the GUI and it was tested without the Daisy physically attached to the Cyton. Please reach out to official support.

@pg30 I have done some pretty heavy testing with the ThinkPulse Active Electrodes and MarkIV. The next major version of the GUI will have a mode that improves the user experience for this product in the OpenBCI GUI. You can see additional info on th…

In computer science, we often start counting from 0. As you can see in the photo, there is data in "EXG Channel 2" column. This data is the raw, unfiltered data. If you wish to load this into another program, you would need to apply the desired filt…

We truly recommend using BrainFlow Python Binding moving forward. https://docs.openbci.com/ForDevelopers/SoftwareDevelopment/

I have made an issue on the GUI Github repo to address this. https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_GUI/issues/1014

The Cyton is not able to remember the current date between being turned off/on. This means that it stamps the creation date with this default time. When collecting data using a PC or Mac, the timestamps are generated as expected with the correct cre…

I simply keep my Skintact electrodes in a ziploc bag. I have not had any issues and have been storing in this way for at least a year. Hope this helps! -RW

If I can give a little advice for the benefit of all the users, it would be an useful thing to write the instructions to get impedance measurements in the documentation with some more and NEW informations. The documentation is written for version 4 …

GUI v5 does not run on Windows 7, as BrainFlow does not support it. Microsoft also does not support Windows 7 anymore. All Windows 7 users should update to Windows 8 or 10 for security reasons, and also to use GUI v5. Openbci_GUI can run …

GUI 5.0.9 now has the Cyton Signal Check Widget. This makes it so that we can properly check impedance on one channel at a time, and the ability to check all channels automatically (one by one, of course).

https://docs.openbci.com/GettingStarted/Boards/GanglionGS/ By default, the GUI stores all user data and raw EEG recordings in [USER]/Documents/OpenBCI_GUI and names each session with an autogenerated timestamp by default. Take Care, RW

It would really help to see the Console Log from the GUI when it was broken and after the fix. If the GUI is running and the BrainFlow log is there, then the other Console Log is there. Sharing everything else but this is not entirely helpful to …

That is the BrainFlow log. Can we please see the GUI Console log that starts with Console_[Date+Time]?

We have successfully integrated OpenBCI hardware with the EEG Notebooks project, which happens to contain the P300 experiment, in addition to many others. I would take a serious look at this open-source project, since this is an active collaboration…

Another easy trick to learn what commands to send to Cyton is to: * use the OpenBCI GUI * change the hardware settings (in GUI 5.0.8 this is built into the TimeSeries widget) * send the commands * check the Console Log or the BrainFlow Log (…

Thank you for providing such useful information already. The last piece of the puzzle will be the Console Log file, as William has mentioned. Please provide the full file/text here and I will be able to determine the next steps to resolve this. @cel…

GUI v5 uses BrainFlow filters. https://brainflow.readthedocs.io/en/stable/Examples.html#java-signal-filtering
-
https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_GUI/issues/893 I've added a link to this thread to an open issue to re-investigate and confirm Cyton SD card recordings.
-
There is no longer a conversion feature in GUI v5 for SDCard -> Readable TXT. The GUI reads the SD card files directly.
-
There is no problem here. Data stored to CSV does not have filters applied; it's the full raw data. This allows users to apply different filters during playback.

GUI Networking Widget sends out FFT data over OSC sequentially by channel, since there are something like 125 "bins" per channel. https://docs.google.com/document/u/1/d/e/2PACX-1vR_4DXPTh1nuiOwWKwIZN3NkGP3kRwpP4Hu6fQmy3jRAOaydOuEI1jket6V4V6PG4yIG…
