You would need to hover over the dropdown menu and use the scroll wheel on your mouse to see the other options.

Thanks for bringing this up again. Will try to update this ASAP.

On it and and near the top of my priority list. Been spending a lot of time evaluating various Mac OS, including 13.

I do not recommend using Cyton+Wifi. This is a key to this entire thread. Please try your analysis using 125Hz with 16 channels and Cyton+Daisy. Chasing higher sampling rates does not necessarily increase resolution of 16ch EEG recordings, as source…

Thanks, I have added an official issue to the GUI repo so this can hopefully be added to the next version of the GUI. Thank you all for investigating this! https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_GUI/issues/1079

Working with a larger file also makes it difficult to work with programmatically, since it would then need to be loaded into system memory when parsing the file.

For BDF, we have to write the temporary file to the primary hard drive for the operating system. There should be at least 10 GB free for a 12hr recording. Though, when your hard drive is this full, it degrades the performance of the entire computer.…

Please provide more information about how the data was collected in the second and third screenshots, beyond what pieces of software were used. The OpenBCI GUI uses the BrainFlow backend (Java binding). I would say that the data is not being collect…

This is very strange. My first thought is that the firmware has been corrupted. Has the Cyton been re-flashed after purchase?
-
BDF, CSV, and BrainFlow file outputs are all the same data and always saves raw, unfiltered data to file. This allows users to apply different filters as desired.
-
Please use Processing 3.5.4.

@ali1632 Would you be so kind as to share your Max patch on Github and share with us here on the OpenBCI Forum? Great work! This is great inspiration for others who would like to incorporate EEG into mixed media art and installations! -RW

We just updated this Doc in the last week based on very recent investigation from our Software Team. We are currently developing fixes for Cyton SD card functionality and the WiFi shield (finally!). We realized that what's saved to the SD card with …

https://docs.openbci.com/Software/OpenBCISoftware/GUIDocs/#gui-to-external-process To access this feature now, you can use Processing 4 and the OpenBCI GUI development branch. When using streaming board in either direction, the BrainFlow versi…

https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_GUI/issues/1037 This is an open issue that is scheduled to be added in the next release of the GUI. It is marked as high-priority. Currently finishing up custom filters.

We are in the process of moving from Processing 3 to Processing 4, hopefully. I've just requested a change to Processing 4 and it's what the development branch uses at this time.

Move the dongles farther apart and not right next to each other. This has worked for others.

It's super important to drop the "Gain" on every channel when using the ThinkPulse active electrodes when they are fully connected. In the near future, we are looking to add an option to the GUI control panel that will set these values by default…

I have documented the idea for the firmware fix on https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_GUI/issues/893. This addresses my original concern for making this ticket. Would like to replicate @pluto 's firmware change to see if this needs to be applied to …

I either used a resistor(via voltage divider circuit) or an Optoisolator to resolve this. Thanks for asking!

I need two different sounds playing into each ear. That is why I am thinking of instead of using off-the-rack Bluetooth earphones, I will try and create Bluetooth earphones. Hence why I am talking about using the ESP32 to store the music internally …

As I understand this thread, I think it's best to connect the Cyton to a Laptop or Raspberry Pi, write software to achieve the result, and use standard wired or bluetooth headphones. Using a Raspberry Pi is slightly more complicated than a Laptop du…

@yuminosukesato I'm happy to see that you have learned we can connect to OpenBCI directly in Matlab using BrainFlow! This makes much more sense than sending TimeSeries data from the GUI over UDP. Here is the link to setup BrainFlow + Matlab: htt…

@qijia Glad to hear this!!! Take Care!

@qijia If you have already contacted official OpenBCI support, you can continue there. On rare occasions, people may accidentally break the dongles or there was a defective part. All hardware is thoroughly tested during the flashing process. In such…

I've seen this same post from official OpenBCI support. Let's please pick one or the other and not create double work for the team. Thank You, RW

I don't recommend sending TimeSeries data over UDP if the GUI is being used. TimeSeries can be sent over LSL in chunks, but it's actually a lot of information to be sent over UDP for all channels. The GUI is actually able to "crunch some numbers" to…

By injecting current into a channel to measure impedance, it interferes with the actual signals that can be picked up from the electrode. Also, this can only be done on one electrode at a time, since there is signal bleed from injecting the current …

An issue has been made in the GUI repo to re-assess the SD card functionality on the Cyton, I have just linked this forum thread to that issue. https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_GUI/issues/893 Since this is slated for the next major update 5.1.…

Update: It looks like a BrainFlow NodeJS binding is being considered for development in the near future. This would be compatible with all OpenBCI hardware. I am also planning to contribute to testing and development of this feature.
