I am actually lending mine from someone else, who hasn't used it in a while. They haven't reported any problems when in use. It might be possible that the dongle has disconnected from the mainboard. Do you happen to know how to repair it?

Hey William, I am using a new Windows laptop that we bought about a month ago. It is the HP OmniBook 5. I even tried it on another computer, but we ran into the same problem.
