I haven't read through all of these comments, but I'll go ahead and comment here. I work in Biomedical Engineering and regularly write code for closed-loop brain state modulation (mostly for detecting sleep in animals). Some people at my university …

William,I'm back in the lab working with the foc.us electrodes again. Again, I am powering them with the 3.7 V NiCad battery. I have the TRRS connector of the foc.us electrodes plugged into a 4 pin breakout, which I am using to access the voltages.…

Yeah, the foc.us electrodes will be tricky to get on an earlobe though. I'll see what I can do.

Thanks again William,I had submitted a contact form through their website. I didn't see a phone number, but I'll get back on their site and see what I can find. We originally put in an order for the EEG kit right when it was going to be released, b…

Hi William, Thanks for all the helpful information. The electrodes I'm using are the foc.us active dry electrodes (https://www.foc.us/dry-active-eeg-electrodes)- and unfotunately support is next to non-existent. The electrodes have two leads (a "sho…

Hey everyone, What are the input ranges for the EEG channels on the Cyton board? I'm wanting to test some active electrodes and was wanting to make sure they don't exceed the devices tolerance. I'm assuming the range of my electrodes will be 0-5V wi…

Looking at the ADS1299 datasheet, the input range is 0-5.25 V. Does the cyton do any on board amplification, or is the direct-from-electrode signal sufficient because of the 32-bit data resolution? Just want to be sure I'm not going to damage anyth…

I've never used the GitHub before, so if I should change the post in a way that it is better assigned let me know. Here is the post: https://github.com/OpenBCI/OpenBCI_GUI/issues/125

My apologies, for some reason I was not shown that page when I clicked the link earlier. Not sure what was going on there, but that page is very helpful - thanks! I am however still seeing "Error reading serial port" message. Would you still like …

I had done some digging in the docs and tutorials but didn't find anything useful. However, by editing the LatencyTimer in the FTDI settings in the Registry Editor, everything seems to be working! LabVIEW and the GUI! For anyone having the same i…

wjcroft, I had put off attempting the FTDI driver adjustment on the Mac because I was going to be working from a machine running Windows 7 (64 bit). However, now that I am running on the Windows machine, I seem to still be seeing the same "clunky" …

I tried pressing it before starting the stream as well (i.e. close the GUI, Power off the Cyton, disconnect and reconnect the dongle, power on the Cyton, open the GUI, Click device>Status).

Thanks William! I'll check out the post you linked. Do you think the status error is just a hiccup with Mac OS? I should be getting a windows machine next week that I can hook it up to.
