Thanks again William I have read up the links you have sent and have devised an experiment which proves that hardware filters are not needed. The experiment sends pure sine waves of different frequencies into the OpenBCI module and we can …

Hi William Regarding the Anti-Aliasing functions in the ADS1299. I wanted to know if the following is possible without any additional hardware: 1. The signals we want to record are of max freq. of 500Hz. 2. Accordingly, we are using Wifi Mo…

Thanks William for the links. Let me clarify my second question of "anti-aliasing filter BEFORE ADC". Let's say that we are sampling at 1000Hz using OpenBCI + Wifi. I understand that the sampling by ADC will also be done at 1000Hz The EM…

I have now moved to a new building and WiFi Direct is working. I am not sure what was the problem earlier.

Thanks William This gives me a much clearer idea Cheers!

Thanks William... Appreciate the inputs When you say most electrodes are interchangeable - are there any electrodes which are not? I mean are there specific EEG and EMG electrodes?

It is a very strange issue.... The connection works properly at my home but in my office it does not connect at all. I am using WiFi Direct but it seems the Shield Access Point is unable to give out an IP address (DHCP) when I am in office.

How likely is that the dongle is physically damaged if it is not recognized in all Linux / Mac and Windows OS? Is it possible that the firmware gets corrupted during regular use (if re-flashing) fixes it?

The firmware was 2.0.5. The shield was purchased in June 2018. I am trying with older firmware

I have tested this in another laptop with windows 10 - it seems that the computer is unable to get an IP address via DHCP when connected to the WifiShield network

Sorry my bad - I had to do the bootloading carefully... worked and the Shield is up and running Thanks again

Hi - I am trying to flash the firmware as guided in the docs. I get this error: A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to Espressif device: Invalid head of packet (0x0D) What could be the issue?

Ok noted - Thanks so much!

Thanks @wjcroft - No this was the first time I am trying out the Wifi Shield - have to try to re-flash. Need to tools first Will check out the docs too

Thanks @wjcroft for the info. I am assuming that the USB port from a laptop would also have the same issues?
