Thank you William, Yes, that other Cyton+Daisy with dongle works fine with EEG on both Win10 and Mac, only this new Cyton does not. I was trying on older GUI version on Win 7, but same outcome. In Win10 it also complains about missing *.dll files, …

Yes, this might be the main reason. I was just thinking of power as I had some issues with other dongles on labtops. Sometimes it says there is not enough power, sometimes one need to go to DevMan and switch off "Turn this device off to save power" …

Hi Cid, Looks like your USB port do not provide much power? Otherwise I do not see a reason if it works well on others. Did your check if there is any power savings on your USB via Device manager? Some laptops are using this by default to save batt…

Hi William, 1) tried 3-pin self- noise and it has worked on both Mac and Win10 (nearly zero noise), even with 50Hz pitch off so it can't be due to mains or nearby comp alone. 2) did not manage to start GUI on Win7 and Win Server 2008 R2 (likely j…

Thanks William, will try in couple of days. Did not use EEG before, will read. Well, I can only see random signal in 3 lead ECG and it does not react on bias, gain etc., neither looks as it should be according to tutorial. Michael @wjcroft s…

Update to previous: This is how 3 lead system looks with supposed to work setup. I noted that accelerometer shows up to +/- 0.7 g even Cyton board is laying on the table. Is this how it should be (I guess not)?

Bought about 3 weeks ago. Yes, did start with tutorial and these are examples with Cyton without any connections or cables: It reacts of course as I touch electrodes (note "railed" and "not railed" appear somewhat random, when the session…

Yes, I meant no reasonable signal (no regular pattern as I could catch) from 3 leads. But I will try other Win10 computer first; may suspect Mac issues...

Hi Sam, @Samvb said: I did try a few other USB ports with no luck. But for some reason it has started working again. If it stops again I will install the latest FTDI VCP driver I had the same problem earlier with other hardware, …

Hi William, some extra attempts made: 1. Tested 3 Lead (IN1P, IN1N and BIAS) connection (gain 1x-8x, normal, not included bias, SRV2/SRB1 off/off) no effect 2. Changed to other cables and electrodes, no effect; trying connection to different pints…

Oh you meant only 3 electrode setup (IN1P, IN1N and BIAS instead of AGND)? Did not yet try... And I did not touch gain, maybe need to set all to 8x indeed... could pick up extra noise otherwise. Michael

Hi William, Thank you for suggestions. @wjcroft said: re: 'simplest' HRV Yes, and we have used also others simple like gHRV which is easier than e.g. Kubios. But I haven't previously gathered the data myself, only use some recordin…

Hi William, @wjcroft said: OK, clarification on the V lead. If point V is connected IN4P, then IN4N can connect to any of the other existing skin electrodes, or a new one that you place. You stated above: "Should I try attach this V-electro…

Hi William Thank you again. Yes, I have 50 Hz notch on and bandpass filter 1-50 Hz (tried others as well). Need maybe to check if the connectors and electrodes are firmly attached. And I catch V electrode logic (also Wikipedia link you sent is ve…

Thank you William, Now I was trying to gather a guide from those 2 threads you mentioned: * for 3-LEAD ECG using 5 electrodes (as shown at the chest diagram) we connect first LA to IN1P and IN3N (using Y cable), LL to IN2P and IN3P, RA to IN1N…

Thank you! So if I got things right, there is the following connection of electrodes: LA -> 1P, LL-> 2P, RA -> 1N, RL -> BIAS (not AGND), V -> 4P (see also below for V electrode) 1. The scheme in the ECG Cyton guide says: "For examp…
