After Cyton firmware upgrade, 1 Hz sawtooth wave on ch1 and random accelerometer

About a week ago a 1Hz sawtooth wave appeared on ch1 of my Cyton board regardless of what is connected. In addition, the y- and x-axes of the accelerometer started to be seemingly random values while the x-axis simply outputs zero. This is all independent of connections to the board and it's physical movement/orientation.

The strange thing is that this started to happen after I upgraded the Cyton firmware to version 2.0.1. Rolling it back to previous versions has had no effect, so this may be coincidental.

Measuring the voltage at the ch1 pin with an oscilloscope results in a flat 0.0V.

A screenshot of the reading from the OpenBCI GUI is attached.

Thank you all for any advice.

Fixed by performing a Cyton radios firmware update for the transmitter and USB dongle.
  • Hi Jack! Thanks a lot for your solution. I had the same issue recently.

Jack and Treiber, thanks. I assume both of you are now at the latest Cyton (and Radio) firmware levels.
