Ganglion on Mac / Mohave, no bluetooth connection

Right out of the box, I'm running into bluetooth connectivity issues. Sorry in advance for the n00bness of this post, but seeing as I'm not very code-centric, I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction.

Running GUI 3.3.2 on MacOS 10.14 with a ganglion board.

It should probably be noted that the GUI is being accessed from my Applications folder (as per the results of a few forum searches)

Using the 'Apple' menu at upper left, what is the model and year of your Mac? Some Macs are old enough that they lack the necessary Bluetooth Low Energy hardware. In that case you can use the BLED112 dongle.

Does this Ganglion work on any other machine / OS / etc.?

It for sure has BLE functionality. Also, I updated to 4.0.2 since originally posted.

It's a Macbook Pro and the only operational computer I own/use. Haven't really had a chance to try connecting the board to any other machines yet.

Bluetooth (v2 and 3) on earlier Macs is not the same as BLE (4.x, which includes 2 and 3) on later Macs. Have you used BLE on this Mac? What is the year shown in the Apple box?

Have you tried running the GUI from Processing, rather than the standalone?

Just went through the Processing rigamaroo. The refresh bar still says "Searching" and underneath the user interface reads "Using built in BLE for Ganglion" after having read "BLE was powered up successfully, now searching for BLE devices" to no avail in connectivity

2016 is the year of the model btw

It could be that, even though you have BLE hardware in that Mac, that there is some other incompatibility with the Ganglion Hub finding it / using it. Are there any BLE related error messages on your Processing console? Are you now running from Processing rather than the standalone app?

The BLED112 dongle is only $10 and works with the GUI on all platforms. Might be a faster solution,

Processing isn't showing any explicit errors. I'll try the dongle and keep you posted

It's definitely the Mohave that is behind this blockage. See this recent thread,

The BLED112 should get you connected.

Apologies for my not seeing the Mohave issue, just found out about it today.

AJ has a new 4.0.3 beta that he says will solve the Mojave issue,

The BLE112 dongle works perfectly. I think I'll keep using it in case of future MacOS updates. Thanks for keeping me informed on the 4.0.3 beta.
