Ganglion Board Won't Turn On :(

J_HsuJ_Hsu United States
Hello all,

Just wanted to see if anyone else had this issue come up and if there was any potential way of resolving it.

One of my teammates had plugged in the Ganglion board turned it on (the lights were flashing); however, a few second later, the lights stopped flashing. However, the Ganglion board would not turn on after that.

Thanks everyone! If you need any more information, please let me know.

Have you checked your battery voltage? You can use a DVM / multimeter. You can also measure the DVDD and GND header sockets on the board.
  • Hi Guys.

the same issue.  did replace the batteries for  new ones.6.4 V.  Measured DVDD and GNDA header sockets  - 2.96V

    any fixes?

    Thanks

It's possible the Simblee firmware has glitched. Can you go through some of the steps here,

    In particular, the OTA steps,

Do you see it show up in the list of BLE devices? Let us know.

If not, then something more serious is wrong. In which case you should email contact at openbci.com and point back to this thread.

    Mentioning @openbci, @techsupport.

    Regards,

    William

    it was exactly like that
".........had plugged in the Ganglion board turned it on (the lights were flashing); however, a few second later, the lights stopped flashing. However, the Ganglion board would not turn on after that."
    Thanks

"board doesn't show up in list of devices."

I'm referring to the device list in the Android or iOS BLE OTA programs (nRF, LightBlue, etc.) Not the list of devices on your laptop.
  • yup.  i did check on laptop and on Mobile light blue.

If it is not showing up in the mobile apps used for OTA (following the steps in the tutorial on OTA flashing), then you won't be able to reflash. Please email as suggested.

Sounds like the board has broken. Perhaps it got shocked?

    Any solution here?

techsupport, nope.  It's not get shocked. it stopped working in few seconds after turning on.

I showed it to some fix guys, they said Simblee is done.

    P.S

Just wondering, is there any warranty for the board?
