what's the maximum size of SD card?

Hi All,

I've tried to run Cyton board with 128 Gb SD card (should be good enough for 2 hours of 8 channels of data with 250 sample/sec).

Unfortunately, after start, the screen on the GUI didn't show anything except gyroscope updates.

The SD card was empty as well.

I thought, maybe I should try with smaller size SD card, so I would appreciate any suggestions about the appropriate size.

If Cyton actually consumed 128GB in 2 hours (as you estimated), that would be, 128,000,000,000 / 7200 seconds = 17.7 megabytes per second.

The actual block sizes and recording times are listed here,

8 or 16GB as shown should be plenty.

Yes, you're right it's plenty, I lost x10 as usual...

Anyway, just if someone has similar question, the answer is:

128 Gb works, needs to be formatted as FAT32 (not exFat, as windows tries to format if it sees the size larger than 32 Gb)

I found the following tool:

it formats large cards to FAT32.
