Hey guys, can someone explain to me the difference between BCILAB and NeuroPype?
I want to run a Common Spatial Pattern (CSP) using real-time processing with LabStreamingLayer. Does anyone know if this can be done using offline methods as well?
re: CSP, I see that BCILAB supports it. Is there online documentation for Neuropype? Since BCILAB is EEGLAB underneath, it sounds like it should support offline analysis.
BCILAB questions would find more experts on the EEGLAB mailing list.
There is actually some confusion out there about what is 'Neuropype'. The previous link I gave was to the commercial product.
There is a completely open-source / academic project also by this same name. Apparently the 'Pype' name idea was inspired by Python. Which I believe the commercial version shares as well.
It looks like the Qusp / Syntrogi / Intheon company has now trademarked the NeuroPype name, so likely own that now. Not sure why they keep changing the company name, seems a bit odd.
The opensource (derived from GPL) version and the commercial version are apparently the from the same people / same entity, after some commercial modifications of late:
