USB Dongle removal while recording to SD Card?

Hello, if I plug in SD card to record to (on the Cyton board), can I subsequently remove the USB dongle and have the Cyton to continue to record to the SD card?

I need to do this because I need to be able to free up my computer's only USB port to be able to send external triggers to the Cyton board. I don't have an SD card yet though, so I can't test it out.

Sorry for the delay with the answer.

I've seen several people confirmed this.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to store any data on SD card and created the following thread:
