W_Focus Arduino code

Hi
am using the ganglion and am I tried to connect Arduino to the serial port of GUi and I chose port and boud rate and tried the code in the link below

but The arduino code gets the led activated., the led on pin 2 stays on, whether or not the the GUI reads focused.
The Rx led activated and the data was received.. but I can't show it in the serial monitor in Arduino?
Are there any errors in the code?
Or boud rate??
