Is there any possibility for 32 channels at least 500 Hz?
We have an ancient system for doing EEG and would like to replace it with modern hardware without having to buy a very expensive turnkey system.
However, two apparently insurmountable difficulties are that we require 32 channels and we record at least 500 Hz and ideally at 1000 Hz!
Our system uses a custom made electrode cap with 32 embedded electrodes and these wire to a single cable which just so happens to interface to a preamp made by a company that is not associated with the electrode cap company. (This apparently implies that at least one point there was a standard interface for connecting electrodes that was for some reason abandoned.)
It seems that to utilize OpenEEG (are there any other options?), we need to use two Cyton + daisy biosensing boards in order to get 32 channels. It then seems we'd need to manually hook up 32 electrodes to each subject and then to the boards!
But the board supports a mere 250 Hertz, so this all appears to be moot. Are we out of luck?
