"unable to attach daisy" error from GUI

I am getting the error "unable to attach daisy". 

- The V3 Daisy Module is attached
- I have been able to transmit 16 channels of data before now
- I am consistently unable to connect
- The batteries are new/charged
- Y-Cable is in the correct configuration
- 8-Channel transmission through the Cyton is still possible

Thoughts?

    To clarify, this is an error that I am getting when attempting to establish initial connection with the Daisy Module through my laptop utilizing the USB serial dongle and the December 2017 version of the OpenBCI GUI.
