Materials to self-learn signal processing

Hello, I am new here. I would like to start with EEG/BCI but I need
prepare for this. I search for some courses/materials/books/etc. to
self-learn abut signal processing. All the materials that I had were too complicated for me. I hope here I can find someone who will help me with this small problem.

There are a ton of tutorials out on the web, but I understand it may be challenging finding the right match for your background. Many of these start off with a page full of equations, which can be intimidating.

In some cases, it is possible to avoid having to program the DSP. Instead there are packages called VPL, Visual Programming Languages, that let you assemble element blocks of DSP processes. Such as filters, spectrograms, FFTs, etc. And connect the signal flows from EEG amplifier to processing, to output. Here's the thread on the forum, and the tutorial.

Other VPLs exist, such as OpenViBE, BioEra, LabView, etc. All of these have tutorial material.

The OpenBCI board tutorials also contain a lot of background describing the various elements shown on the GUI screen. Such as the plots presented and how to control them.
