Status of OpenBCI kits

Very exciting/cool that OpenBCI has the kits available, for those who do not want to build their own.... and even still at a cost substantially below market rate for conventional lab systems.

Today is Oct 24. What is the status on the initial round of production? My understanding is there were targeted for being ready by now.
However also as a new endeavor, the reality is "things" often come up... so how is it looking?

  • @ratlabguy The last update I read said that Kickstarter backers’ boards were supposed to be delivered — don’t know if that means shipped or arrived — by the middle of October, while pre-orders would be fulfilled by the end of the month.

From the OpenBCI Twitter feed I know that a manufacturing run of v3 boards arrived, in working order, on the 15th () and that they were working on the code, firmwear, etc. As of Oct 20th they tweeted about the kitting process () which I would guess means that they’ve gotten the firmware on the boards.

That’s all I know — maybe someone from OpenBCI can weigh in. (I also noticed that Conor pushed the v2 and v3 source files for the Spiderclaw 3D printed headset to GitHub this afternoon, so that’s progress.)
