Circuit Boards

Can we get the bare boards somewere and populate them ourselves?

  • How many do you need? You can legit order them easily from pcb manufaturers!

I know but the board houses have a min order and i need only one of each Cyton, Daisy and the new WiFi board. So I would  be in the hundreds of dollars and own a few boards.

I sure some one already had there own boards already made and i was hoping to snafu one from them.

I already own the IT ADS1299 evaluation kit but its a pretty big board.

As for my projects I'm currently controlling a small robotic arm (Scorobot4) using Backyard Brains interface, so the next evolution would be a brain to machine interface..

    thanks, john

  • I would love to see that project! If you can buy all those off the OpenBCI shop to support the team that builds all the software and firmware. Plus if you get stuck, the team will help you!

I don't see the bare boards in the shop?
    I see the finished boards.

  • After studying the circuit it apperes to be quite simple i may just attempt making my own boards.
  • oh yeah i made my own tiny eeg boards and just use some solder paste and hand place the components
next time i may get a production house to make them

  • I order the boards to SeeedStudio the cost for 10 boards of 10cmx10cm that manage to fit daisy and cyton was 40$ and 4-5$ for 10 USB dongle boards, so it's not that expensive.

The higher price on the daisy and cyton its because the PCB use 4 layers, I'm not really sure why because the 2 and 3 don't have a lot of things, maybe its related with noise reduction or something similar.
