  This is a guess, but it looks like the dongle board is an all-in-one combination of the components from the RFDuino CPU board and USB shield, USB schematics here:

  You are right. The OpenBCI dongle board is just a combination of RFD22102 and RFD22124.

  We got some excellent assist from the folks at RFduino in designing our dongle.

  The breakout pins are in the same form and layout as the RFduino design for maximum compatibility.
