are g.tec g.SAHARA dry active electrodes working with openbci?

i found SAHARA dry active electrodes here http://www.gtec.at/Products/Electrodes-and-Sensors/g.SAHARA-Specs-Features
is it working with openbci ? and is it give good clear signal ? and have u tested it?

    I priced this back in 2011, and hope these are obsolete figures.  :-)  But at that time a single active electrode, plus it's connection wire to the g.SAHARAbox was about $270.  Pricing for the reference and ground lines a bit less, since those typically go to mastoid snaps or ear clips.  The g.SAHARAbox price was not broken out on the quote I got, but bundled with the amp they quoted.  g.SAHARAbox is the power supply for the actives and converts to conventional passive EEG connectors.

    g.SAHARAbox appears to be battery powered, and with the "g.SAHARAboxCONNECTOR for g.BSamp", it looks like this would plug into standard EEG touchproof connectors on OpenBCI.

    I'd love to see an update on pricing and how this works with non-g.tec EEG amps expecting passive sensors.  It looks obviously compatible with their own passive amps.  Cortech was the U.S. rep who sent me the quote.  http://cortechsolutions.com/Products/DA

    Tareq, no, we have not tried yet.  Although if you read my previous post, they SHOULD work, since all of g.tec's conventional passive amps work with the g.SAHARA.  OpenBCI programmable gain can be set as you desire.  The g.SAHARAbox converts the actives into essentially passive electrode voltage range.

    A better question might be addressed to g.tec, "has the g.SAHARA been used with other amps besides g.tec?".  And "what is the cost per electrode?  what is the cost of the g.SAHARAbox and connector for g.BSamp?"  If you get those quotes, please post here, we're interested.

    What kind of BCI do you do?  What attracts you to OpenBCI as opposed to the g.tec equipment?  Is cost a factor in your decisions?  g.tec seems to be priced at the level that large corporate R&D departments can afford.  But that is above most open source advocates' budgets.  This might be changing as the market for consumer grade EEG is rapidly expanding.
