noise on certain Cyton channels

Hi,
I'm trying to fetch "closed eye" data by placing the electrodes on position o1 and o2. The cyton channels I'm using are 4 and 8, the problem which is arising that the data on channel 8 is coming fine but data on channel 4 contains lots of noise. I tried changing the channel from 4 to 2 but the same result.
Even I interchanged the electrodes from o1 and o2, ie. earlier o1 was connected to channel 4 and o2 to channel 8, but even after interchanging, it showed same results ie. noise on channel 2 and 4.
What should I do?

What happens when you follow the exact steps in the tutorial, using paste and gold cups? Is the noise you mention above with gold cups or with a headset? Are your gold cups in good condition, no chips in the gold plate? Another test you can do is to paste all three or more electrodes together: channel, reference, and bias. This should produce close to zero microvolts.'
