OpenBCI Forum, full capabilities available soon?

Conor and team,
Thanks for all the efforts on the new site. It's not easy doing such export / import operations.
I'd like to see the full capabilities of the forum software we using -- be exposed to our community. Here are a few examples of forums using the same package as you (Vanilla Forums). These are specifically developer communities. In such environments there typically is a need to split out topics / categories of subprojects, etc. To be able to search the forums for a solution that might already exist, etc.

I realize we are just at the beginning of this new forum experience, and that you will make enhancements as we go along. I do believe that the current front page and category system (perhaps inherited from the old forum) -- needs some refinement and expansion to really blossom. Look forward to seeing that, and possibly discussing here within the forum what that might look like. Would appreciate feedback from others on other developer forums they have been a part of, etc.
I might even join the Pebble forum above and look around to see what User Interface they get to see.
[(1) Is it my imagination or are the current fonts very teesey tiny on this forum? I would appreciate a more user friendly default font. (2) How can we have more info available in our profiles for other users to see? ]

re: MESSAGE button on any user's profile page.
I assume this is for sending a PM, private message. Clicking on this button says, "you don't have permission". Some forum systems have an account / profile preference where you can allow or disallow PMs. However I don't see that exposed here in Vanilla.

re: adding more background info to our profiles.
Don't see any fields for this in the Profile edit window. However, I just submitted some text comments into the Activity box on my profile page, and that is logged below. As well as the last entry is shown on top of the page. So this is usable.

re: Rich Text / WYSIWYG features.
The features page shown on the Vanilla site shows that this is available. Our previous forum had this, for example. At least with various inclusions. "Our WYSIWYG just works. It recognizes HTML, BBCode, or Markdown. Images, videos and other rich content are easily embedded, files can be attached and code blocks can be prettified. " See bottom of page, http://vanillaforums.com/features/user-experience .

re: small default forum text size
Another aspect of this small default font size, is that posts that contain a mixture of text and code segments (program text), do not mesh very well. I can use control-plus to make the tiny default font larger. But the the program text font becomes huge and unwieldy. Similarly if I use control-minus to get the program text back down to a reasonable size, then the plain text gets miniscule. The solution is to increase the forum default text size to a reasonable value so that it meshes with program text size.
- now using a standard Vanilla Forum theme that gives access to Profile / Notifications, expanded profile fields, more conventional fonts and spacings.
- rich text editing is enabled.
- email notifications are enabled on bookmarked threads (discussions)
- PM (private messages) now seem to work.
- search box available.
The OpenBCI top level menus will shortly be visible on forum web pages. We're switching over some URLs in the process.AUTO BOOKMARKS: We are going to add a couple plugins that automatically bookmark any threads you make comments on, so you will get an email notification when new comments are posted. In the meantime, you must bookmark any discussion thread that you want email updates on. Do this by clicking on the STAR icon next to the discussion title.
