You have to just PURCHASE the silver / silver chloride spikey and cone electrodes from FRI. See the Electrodes Category on right column.
  • the page says that the flat, spikey units are injection moulded and you say i need to purchase them why??
  • are there an signal distortion introduced if i use plastic electrodes instead of silver electrodes

Sorry, my confusion over your question. With the older headset (Ultracortex III) the electrode holders were indeed 3D printable because they were large enough. In UC IV, all the holders are injection molded due to their smallness and requirement of smooth finish. I have not seen the UC IV electrode holders for sale alone on the Store. You need to buy the Print It Yourself kit. You CANNOT do injection molding yourself, it is a very costly manufacturing procedure.

re: the FRI electrodes (spikey and flat), these are already plastic base, first plated with silver, then chlorided.

    See this related thread:

  • thanks
i just wanted to know are the spikey and flat units injection moulded in plastic or are they some custom silver chloride thing

The "electrode holders" or electrode "units" are bolted together from several pieces. The tip (part touching the skin) is the silver chloride electrode(s) from FRI, either comb or cone.

The comfort tips are cushioning plastic, and not silver chlorided. The body of the electrode holder (outer sleeve and cylinder) are the injection molded pieces. There is a spring in there also, etc.
