dear all,

I am looking for a decent dry electrode cap. I obviously want to support the openbci community and am definitely considering the Mark IV.

Prime use would be neurofeedback for meditation (alpha, theta, gamma protocols). I currently have a qwiz/bioexplorer with an electro-cap. I also have single electrodes, but I want to get rid of all the gel where possible :-).

Does anyone have any experience with the quality of the signal etc of the Mark IV versus Ant-Neuro Wavguard touch or other alternatives?

(contacted Ant-Neuro now for quote for this cap).

Any thoughts are more than welcome. I did search the forums, but could not find a conclusive answer yet.

Curious, what quote and timeframe did you receive on the Ant Waveguard cap?

This has been under development for many years. There are a number of research papers on the TiN Titanium Nitride coated polyurethane combs.

Also be cautious of the shielding technology they use. May not be compatible outside of their own amplifiers. Ask if you can use with a normal passive electrode amplifier.

Would you recommend the gtec Gammcap with their Sahara dry electrodes? Trying to find a reseller here in Europe and have written them now as well (only reseller I could find so far was a Polish company http://www.neurodevice.pl/en/products/g-tec/gamma-cup-g-tech-en/220-gamma-cup-g-tech-en

no distributor in Austria or Germany is a bit interesting. But I have now written to a few in Europe and see what they come back with. Interesting that none of them that I checked so far have prices listed on their websites. Always contact for quote or similar statements.

Guess I will be shocked indeed when I finally get those prices :-)

Can you give us a price estimate on single quantities of the DSI-7-flex, DSI-7, and DSI-24?

Your 7-Flex looks like the lowest entry point, and is used with an elastic cap with holes. Does it actually work well with the band system shown? That is generally used for finding 10-20 positions, but not actual holding electrodes in place. g.tec's g.GAMMAcap would probably be the way to go.
