Bad EEG signal with the Ganglion and not with Cython!?

Hi,

I'm trying some alpha detection with the new ganglion and impossible to have a clear eeg signal and I don't understand why!? I think I have a bad reference, but I'm doing all the same with the ganglion and the cython and it's working well on cython…

I'm on mac, and I tested with two different mac and two diffrent Ganglion with the same bad noise…

Here the signal I record with the ganglion…

And here the same setup, the same programme, the same electrode, the same place with Cython…

The electrodes

My ganglion Setup / D_G left ear Chan 2 - right ear Chan 2 + O1

My futon setup / BIAS left ear Chan 2 - right ear Chan 2 + O1

Hi, There is one week I'm testing the Ganglion and today I have a good signal in an other place. I don't understand why but it's working !!! thx

How is the EEG signal quality with Ganglion compared to Cyton? Thx

hi wyan868, the EEG signal looks better but the connection through bluetooth looks more unstable depend on the place you are and electronics devices around.

Hi Gille, does any OpenBCI board have the choice of not using bluetooth, i.e., can an OpenBCI board be connected to a PC with a wire?

Hi wyan868,

Wireless connection (bluetooth for example) between the OpenBCI and your PC is used for security reasons. You should never consider doing otherwise.
