Manufacturing scale during a Kickstarter campaign, allows hundreds / or a thousand boards to be made at fabricator volume pricing. After the campaign is complete, orders come in but in much smaller batches. Hence future manufacturing runs cannot be as large and volume discounted at the fabrication facility.
Price adjustments like this are normal for most every Kickstarter campaign.
