3D brain's activity

Hi all,
I'm Davide and for my final year project I would like to do something with BCIs. For example, I thought about creating a 3D real-time brain's activity visualizer using the nodeJS framework and a webGL 3D engine like babylonJS , something like this or (even better) this; I already have a MRI scan of my brain that I'm trying to convert to a .obj file. Do you think is it possible? Any suggestion? Thank you

Hi William, thanks for your hints. I read some of the posts you have mentioned, and in one of them I found that the minimum amount of channels to do source localization is about 24; since openBCI supports up to 16 channels, would it be still possible to do a "less accurate" source localization?

There are sLORETA implementations (Brainmaster) with only 19 channels. 16 would likely work, but losing more resolution. I have seen some demos of the 14 channel EPOC. But some of these are not true source localization, more like an animated map of surface activity. That in itself can be useful, and most QEEG neurofeedback is just done with surface measurements.
