BCILAB toolbox not visible

Hello.
I ve got the following Problem:I installes BCI Lab and added the path following the install instructions (also not in one of the eeg lab folders). if i start bci lab now via command wi ndow, i can see the toolbox preview in the taskbar but if i left-cliclk it, it doesn't appear in matlab, nothing changes but the toolbox is still visible.
there s a screenshot- if i leftclick now on the toolbox nothing happens.
do i have to enable something in the desktop settings? i couldn t find out by now and i ve got the feeling, that it s just one little thing missing.

Steffi, hi.

Are you using LSL? OpenBCI is only accessible in MATLAB, EEGLAB, BCILAB via LSL at the moment.

I finally found a detour.

Here's my solution.

install vmware (i used Vmware station pro 12(trial))

create a virtual machine (i gave 4G RAM and 2 CPU processor cores)

install Win 8.1 (trial)

intall Matlab (2010a)

download BCILAB 1.1

Set path, and, the toolbox is now visible.. finally.

I had formatted my windows OS twice, but It had not changed anything, but inside the virtual machine, it works.

I don't know why, it works. God bless VMware.

Hi, I have the same problem, is there any solution for the newest version of Matlab? I cant see the toolbox, but I see there is an active window, looks like the toolbox (gui) is not visible

@Marceloruiz Gabe has been working on a Matlab integration for OpenBCI, check out his code here. Currently it's only working through LSL though. Hope that helped!

Hey thanks! there is no need for BCILAB with this! just one more question the file openbci_pylsl.py that the doc reference, which one is in the OpenBCI_MATLAB/Matlab-Python/ folder? there is 3 files

open_bci_v3.py

openbci_matlab.py

I cant find any openbci_pylsl.py, but for me it works with user.py from openbci page, but dont know if there is any difference

Ended up figuring out the issue. It looks like on really high resolution screens (3840x2160) the way it figures out where to show the main menu initially puts it wayyy outside of the visible area. Did a 10 second lazy fix for it on my fork of BCILAB and might clean it up later, but my MATLAB is pretty weak and I would like to poke around BCILAB a bit more and test before making pull request or anything for them.

Oh wow!, nice observation!, but I can't find the gui_showmenu.m, is a new file you added? or what version of BCILAB you have?

Wow you were right!, I change my resolution and it display it correctly!, also when I use a big resolution (full hd) I right click in the gui icon, press move, and use the down arrow to move it on the screen and work also! thank so much @flyingcube for the observation!
