Electrode Placement for Alpha Activity Detection as per 10-20

edited December 2015 in General Discussion
Hi,

I am a newbie to BCI.
I would like to know best electrode placement for single channel EEG with 3 electrodes (1 ref, 1 ch, 1 drl) to detect alpha activity.
Please suggest a best non hairy site for electrode placement.
I tried Fp1(ref), Fp2 (Ch) and back of earlobe for DRL, i could not able to detect the alpha activity. signals are full of noise.
I could not able to differentiate eye open signals with eye closed signals after filtering 0.5 - 45 Hz & FFT.

Similarly, please suggest me best electrode placement for 4 channel (6 electrodes, 4 Ch, 1 Ref, 1 DRL) for SSVEP detection.
