No EEG signal (.1 uV only), on new board
Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem with the initial setup of my openBCI board. I'm using a 8 channel 32 bit board and Mac OS X. I got to the point where you sync the dongle to the board by using the software. The only problem is that I can't get any data after that. Initially, all eight channels show some readings and after a second, they all settle to 0.10 uVrms +- 0.02 uVrms.
Things I've tried:
- "Running" my fingers through the pins, no result
- Following the OpenBCI getting started tutorial, no result
- Doing this tutorial: http://www.autodidacts.io/getting-started-with-openbci-a-tutorial-on-testing-troubleshooting-and-recording-ekg/ , no result
The way that I can get it to show a signal is by using a multimeter on Diode Test mode:
- By connecting multimeter positive to SRB1 and negative to N1 I get the signal to "RAILED"
- By connecting multimeter negative to the Bias and tapping the positive to N1 I get t
he signal up to 200 uVrms before going back to normal
I'm I doing something wrong? Any suggestions?

Eddie

No EEG signal (.1 uV only), on new board
I have upload new firmware, but it's still no signal
does any way to fix it ?

Was this board purchased recently from the OpenBCI store? (Or was it used; as another of your earlier posts was looking for used equipment.) My impression is that this .1 uV problem was only happening briefly during November / December 2015. And was then corrected. None of the currently shipping boards should behave like this.
Do you see any larger signals when you have electrodes connected to say SRB2 (pin closest to board) and one of the channels (pins closest to board). For example holding the two leads in opposite hands should pickup some noise and ECG.
is from 1121 industrial parkway brick township NJ 08724
Have you tried reflashing the firmware on the board?
