EEG motor imagery data set creation

hello,

i am a master student , and my thesis is controlling an upper limp prosthesis using EEG pattern recognition, i have recently picked up an openbci kit hoping to get the optimal eeg captures , i am wondering how to collect a data using openbci and which software that suits my issue ?
