Electrode Earrings

I was taping the electrodes to my ears and my hair kept getting stuck on the tape .. I superglued the electrodes to some clip on earrings I bought from the craft store. This has been working really well actually. At least as far as I can tell. :/

    But many of these are rather pricey. So your setup there looks very cost effective.

    The only issue that I can think of is that you really want to have all of the electrodes made of the same material, in this case, gold.
    If you are creating an ohmic connection between the gold electrode and the earclip, you might be inadvertently introducing noise into the signal. Some kind of galvanic thing is happening when using dissimilar metals.

    Seems you could easily solve for this by covering the parts of the earclip that touch your skin with some non-conductive stuff. Or covering the part that you are gluing to the gold electrode. You could use nail polish, I would think... Another cheap solution!

    Or you could use all silver, or gold plate your earrings.  You might check around with your local jewelers and see what they'd charge for a 24k gold flash.  It only takes about 5 minutes.

    If you are in New York, there is a great findings store called Metaliferous
    They likely have gold (plate) costume jewelry ear clips... 'tho I'm not an expert on their stock...
