BMI stands for Body Mass Index. You should check your acronyms, especially in the medical field, before naming a project. The problem is that it will confuse people and you'll never be able to get search engines to find you.

I didn't put any thing before on Github , but I'am thinking about that

now the external bluetooth driver is a little modification on the original code that comes with the board , so I don't know how to put it there

for the mobile application , yes I'am thinking of that , after some editing and documentation on the code

now for the Community page , I was trying to do that , but I think that I have a problem , can I contact you about that ?

Hi,

I just went through the video and it looks like an interesting application. Just one doubt though, is there no way to reconfigure the onboard RFD22301 module to enable it to communicate with a smartphone directly. The application notes for RDF22301 mention that it can connect to both Android and iOS smartphones so it might be possible to avoid using the external bluetooth module.

The RFD22301 does have BLE Bluetooth Low Energy capability. But the OpenBCI firmware to do this does not yet exist. Also BLE on the RFD22301 is very very slow, at least with this device. So in BLE mode it would support fewer channels, lower sample rate. Instead, the dongle and onboard radios are using the high-speed GZLL 'Gazelle' protocol.

What is the maximum data rate that the BLE currently supports? I have an application with 4 channels being sampled at 1 kHz which requires around 100k bits per second and the datasheet for the RFD22301 suggests that its minimum speed is 250kbps. Will the BLE be able to support this speed?

The OpenBCI firmware does NOT currently support BLE mode, only GZLL. The raw data rate is as you suggest. But BLE with the RFduino is apparently much slower.

@sumedhkaulgud, Our BLE module has room for 20 bytes per packet, and the over air data rate varies alot due to the BLE protocol.

We find that about every 3rd or 4th packet takes a looong time to send (~40mS) which is not good for sending at high rates. We think there will definitely need to be compression of the data to get it through over BLE.
