Well I was able to successfully upload the blink sketch and it worked perfectly. However, when I re-upload the OpenBCI firmware I still get the same issue when using processing.
Chris, when I looked at this thread a day or so ago, you had posted that you tried the "blink" test and that worked. What happened to that post, did you delete it? Your post also said that you then tried to load the default OpenBCI firmware and that failed. (Did not produce a response to '?'.) I assume that test was done with 8 channels only.
It's sounding more to me like there is some problem with your main board, if it won't work in 8 channel mode. When you first started this forum thread, it was working in 8 channel mode, but not 16. Now nothing. Is that correct?
When you loaded the default firmware, there were no error messages, is that right? Wondering if it is still possible that a large firmware could load, and somehow get mangled but not produce a checksum error.
I must admit I hadn't thought to try just the main board by itself last week since I only ever use 16 channels. So after testing both the 8 channel and 16 channel configuration when sending a '?' I get the right response for 8 channels but nothing for 16 channels. Also the main board is able to run correctly using processing for 8 channels. So I'm back where I started two weeks ago. The main board is ok, just something is wrong with the daisy.
Mine works fine with 8 channels, but it does not recognize the dasy. when i select the 16 channels in processing. that happens after i have sent it to repair to openbci and got it back one week ago or so. So apparently it should work fine! Firmware?
I honestly don't know what happened. One day it was working fine the next day it wasn't. So I'm afraid I can't be of any help in replicating the problem.
Sorry for my confusion, we first had merged your post on the other thread, and I assumed you had loaded the 16 channel firmware. Then I flipped your post over to this thread.

Biomurph,At first i had this time out message. I wasnt able to load the 16 channel interface on processing. I sent the daisy to repair. You repaired it and sent it back to me. Now I can acces the 16 ch interface but it only shows the first 8 channels. Nothing appears in the 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 channel. If you checked the daisy module already...what would the problem be?
