I just focused on building it. Can this be of any help to you guys and the world? (250Hz Causal Kalman Engine)

    Hi PJ,

    You mention:

This system functions as an artificial neural bypass to restore functional information loops in patients with Unresponsive Wakefulness Syndrome (UWS) or Minimum Conscious State (MCS).

Can you mention any testing you've done in this patient population? What were the results? What 10-20 scalp placements are used, how many channels, etc. In this population, am I correct in assuming they are all in basically 'coma' state conditions? What 'feedback' do the patients receive? How do you monitor for changes, and what are the expected outcomes? Do the patients return to normal consciousness? Etc.

    Regards, William

This is a mathematical prototype tested on a computer to see if using this algorithm (Kalman filter + Notch filter) can effectively capture brainwave signals in real time even in noisy environments.
I hope this code serves as a clue for you.

    So your statement:

This system functions as an artificial neural bypass to restore functional information loops in patients with Unresponsive Wakefulness Syndrome (UWS) or Minimum Conscious State (MCS).

Really just mentions a POTENTIAL application, but no steps have been taken towards that goal?

Yes, exactly. This is strictly a mathematical calculation program shared in hopes of providing helpful algorithmic ideas to the community. I have no personal plans for actual hardware deployment. My only goal was to open-source this software logic so that others could find it useful and build upon it.

nice piece of software engineering, thanks for sharing, i'll add to my software.

Glad to hear that the code and the architectural concept are helpful for your project. I hope it serves as a useful algorithmic building block for your software! Thanks for sharing your feedback.
