Swingle ClinicalQ (neurofeedback assessment / protocol selection app)

edited June 4 in Software

I am in the final process of creating an app that will use the verified ClinicalQ clinical norms. It is largely hardware and software agnostic. It will read EDF files created by eeg software.

The app includes the ability to assess up to 17 more sites with a 4 channel. Community based norms and assessment of those sites is available in addition to the ClinicalQ.

There is also an app that has removed ClinicalQ data and relies on community based assessment.

As long as you can create EDF data files you can use this.

If anyone on the forum is using BioEra software I can provide you with a design that leads you through recording the ClinicalQ data gathering. I have a limited number of slots for this. If you do this you will receive a copy of the assessment for up to 17 sites at no charge

  • I also have an app that can convert the real time excel sheets into EDF.

    George, that sounds great.

Do you have any links to a website, Github, etc., with more details, instructions, tutorials, etc.?

So it sounds like there are two methods of gathering the ClinicalQ assessement: either with a separate app that reads EDF files. Or with a BioEra design that "leads you through recording the ClinicalQ data gathering", via some number of channels at a time.

What is the separate app written in? Something like Python, that runs everywhere? Or a webapp? Does it expect an EDF with 2 or 4 channels at a time?

Once the assessment is completed, is there then a protocol selection phase, where one of the ClinicalQ neurofeedback protocols is recommended and somehow setup to run locally? Are those protocols running on BioEra?

I have only briefly looked into ClinicalQ and have never used it. Do have his book.

  • This is in the final stage of development. I am awaiting the latest updates to the swingle clinical database.

  • The results pages will suggest what sites to train and what values bands or ratios to focus.
