Does the SD card allow multiple data collections to be saved?

I'm planning to use the Wi-Fi Shield and Cython board to collect data and also want to save it to an SD card. However, I've noticed that the SD card only records data for a single session. If I stop and restart the session, the second data collection isn't written to the SD card. Is this normal, or did I do something wrong?

Note that the Wifi Shield is no longer supported, as it has been deprecated.

  • If I only use the CYTHON board and not the WIFI board, can I record EEG files multiple times on one SD card?

Are you sure you are initiating a NEW session for each recording to the sd card? That is compatible and documented.

You write in your initial post:

"If I stop and restart the session...."

This sounds like your issue. To get multiple recordings on the card, you need to start a new session for each new file. The file naming, numbering scheme is outlined in the above link.

If you have further questions, I suggest you email to (contact at openbci.com), where a ticket will be assigned to an engineer.
