Copper ring ground?

Hello. I'm working with a subject who cannot tolerate the clips to ground the Ganglion properly. I was thinking that perhaps a large copper ring soldered to the end of the ground wire (instead of the clips) might work to properly ground the unit. Can anyone advice me before I cut my ground wires and test out the theory?

    Hi Zoto,

    I'm not sure what you are referring to as 'clips to ground'. Are you referring to the ear clip type of electrodes? What are the scalp electrodes you are using? Is this a dry electrode or wet/gel/paste electrode situation?

    Generally 'mixing' electrode metal types is not advisable. This is because the presence of multiple metals in contact with the body can cause 'battery' like 'galvanic' effects.

    You mention putting a copper ring AROUND the subject's ear. This sounds uncomfortable to me. Please describe what electrodes and what you are trying to accomplish.
