Daisy board showing different signal than cyton for the same channel & wires.
in Electrodes
Hi,
I have observed some discrepancy in signal data from daisy board. When I connect a channel into cyton board the signal appears to be much more clearer than same connection in daisy board. Daisy board is showing higher amplitude range for almost all channels and also higher frequencies for some of them. When the same channel is plugged into cyton board, the signal appears to be smoother, relatively low amplitude range and frequency to some extent.
What could be the possible reasons for this?
Thanks.

Are you sure you have connected the Y-cable correctly? And that the cable, connectors, wires of that Y-cable have not failed? You can test the Y-cable with an ohmmeter / digital multimeter. Flex the cable while you are testing it in case you might have an intermittent wire or connector.

I checked for continuity of y-cable with the multimeter, it seems to be working fine.
Has this board ever worked correctly?
Suggest you email (contact at openbci.com), which is Customer Service. And ask if there are any other checks you could try to resolve the channel differences. The Y-cable is the most obvious difference between the signal levels on the two boards. If it is operating as intended, then the two SRB2 reference pins should be at exactly the same levels.
