Which software package for neurofeedback / Ganglion?
I wonder what your latest preferences are for NF software for Ganglion. From searching around the forum, the OpenSource software favorites seem to be Neuromore, BrainBay and OpenVibe. I am looking for the best overall package for PC
Neuromore is very slick looking, and fairly deep. But, I don't see a way to easily share designs for it. While the classifiers vs state machine aspects of it can produce good design, and its "test" eeg output is helpful, the state machine feels disconnected. It's not obvious how to do certain basic tasks, such as raise audio volume directly proportional to a feedback output. I'm still struggling with that simple output.
BrainBay isn't nearly as slick looking. But it has a good array of features and I have made several designs in the past for my Muse headset. It doesn't seem appropriate for a great looking game interface, but for straight up NF it appears solid. And we can share designs for it. Connectivity with the Muse 2 headset has its issues. Does it "play well" with Ganglion?
I have not used OpenVibe before. I am most interested in your thoughts about it. Is it easy to use with the Ganglion? If you've used either Neuromore or BrainBay in the past, how does OpenVibe compare?
More importantly, what software do you use? (if the forum had polls available, I would make one for this)

BioEra is the most professional neurofeedback app that supports Ganglion. It is used by well known major packages such as LENS and Cygnet. But it's not free or open sources. Designs are freely shareable.
BrainBay SHOULD still support Ganglion. I have not tested it since Chris added Brainflow support. Certainly try it out and if any issues come up, Chris will usually fix things in a timely manner. There are TWO ways to connect Ganglion, the original way and the new Brainflow way. Try both.
Neuromore used to have a user forum. If you have questions, I would try putting up an issue on their Github.
I'm not sure OpenViBE has Ganglion support. It does support Cyton. You could send LSL to OpenViBE, it consumes that.
Brain-Trainer now uses BioEra. Past iterations used Bioexplorer. Bioexplorer never supported OpenBCI, although they did start on it.

I have given feedback on the Neuromore git page, and I don't see any motion on either my own issues or others. Unsure of the future of that package.
I have communicated with Chris V in the past, just have not yet gotten around to testing BrainBay with the Ganglion yet. BB actually has more updated Brainflow support compared with Neuromore, so hopefully it will work out.
Braintrainer/Bio-Era is quite steep for a hobbyist. The Ganglion kit is a splurge all to itself. I will see if I can make a go of the existing open source software, first.
Thanks for the feedback!
