Railed channel without known cause
in Cyton
I just hooked up our cyton board to start training a new student on it and channels 7 and 8 show as railed (on any scale including auto). Channel 7 will occasionally respond to input but Channel 8 does not. The board worked perfectly fine when we put it away last month. The board is stored in a waterproof case (overly cautious I guess) with rubber padding on the inside. Nothing appears damaged. Looking for ideas to fix this or what might have caused it.

Doug, hi.
Have you tried switching the cables going to 7 & 8, with known good working cables? What electrodes are you using?
One common test to check a given channel, is to connect all three wires/electrodes (channel, reference, ground/bias), together with a blob of paste or alligator clip/leads. This should result in close to zero microvolts if the channel is working.
If the board appears to be still malfunctioning, and is a recent purchase, I would email contact at openbci.com to correspond with a tech support staff member.
