Cyton+Daisy, not recognizing Daisy [resolved]

Hello! I am trying to use the Cyton+Daisy combo to stream all the 16 channels to OpenBCI GUI, but the app says no Daisy is attached. The Daisy module is firmly attached to the Cyton board, and if I use only 8 channels (which uses only Cyton, but the Daisy is still attached), I can see the data streaming coming to the GUI. I've search through the forum to find discussion of this issue, and found a thread mentioning some soldering issues of the Daisy. I don't know how to spot soldering issues, but those SMT soldering looks fine to me. Could it be that I have a faulty Daisy? Or, is there any trouble-shooting process that I can go through to find the root cause? Thanks!

Attached are the pictures of Cyton+Daisy and the screenshot of the GUI showing the message. The wiring of my Ultracortex Mark IV is also different from that described in the Doc, but I used a multimeter to make sure that the electrode locations match the board pins in the wiring tables of the Doc.

    Ying, hi.

When did you purchase this? It has never worked correctly? Have you tried emailing contact at openbci.com, for tech support?

  • Hi, William,
I just purchased it recently, and I am just trying it out for the first time after connecting the wires between the pre-assembled helmet and the Cyton+Daisy boards, only to find that the Daisy is not working. I will try to reach [email protected] to ask for tech support. Thanks!

I wrote this error message in the GUI and it was tested without the Daisy physically attached to the Cyton. Please reach out to official support.
