OpenBCI_GUI immediately closes on Windows 10 [resolved]

I just installed both the GUI and the latest FTDI driver for Windows 10. OpenBCI_GUI.exe will open for half a second, showing a blank window, and then close immediately.
I'm using the Cyton board, and the bluetooth dongle has a blue light as usual. How do I fix this?

I’m trying to open the OpenBCI GUI on my windows 10 computer but it opens for a second (with a split screen) and then immediately closes. I’ve made sure that I have the latest versions of the GUI, Java, and my computers graphics driver. Am I missing something?

Richard @retiutut, it looks like two different users are having the same Window 10 GUI closing issue.
Alex, are you using the latest v5.0.7 ?

Yes, I downloaded version 5.0.7 (released on 9- 29).
Alex, can you use the Windows File Explorer to check for a file:
Documents\OpenBCI_GUI\Console_Data\ConsoleXXX.txt, the filename contains the date on which you ran the session. Post a copy of what you find here, for the session that exits immediately. Mentioning @retiutut.Have you tried running the GUI on any other machines at your disposal? Do any of those work? Another possible option is to run the GUI inside the Processing IDE:

More than one user has now mentioned this. I'm disappointed that a supposed "fix" for high-dpi screens could be the culprit and is causing problems across OS. I may opt to do a hot-fix and remove said code entirely. It's more important that the GUI run than using antiquated Processing methods that cause the app to not run.
We need more testing from the GUI using Processing IDE and full console logs and screenshots of the Processing IDE ASAP. The crash likely happens before the app has a chance to begin writing to the console log file.
Richard, I think at least one of these users may have been using a GUI version prior to 5.0.7. Before I suggested it. So the issue might exist prior to your recent hi res screen mod. @rainegu and @alexmul, can you confirm if you had this issue prior to 5.0.7 ?
Let's just test 5.0.7... which supposedly fixes the same issue on Macs.
Desperately need more testing on Windows 8 and 10 running 5.0.7 from Processing with Console Logs and Screenshots of Processing IDE.
GUI 5.0.7 Standalone is working on my Windows 10 machine.
@rainegu and @alexmul, can you help us out by running the GUI inside Processing GUI, or look for the error log file? What computer models do you have there? Do they have high res screens, etc. Have you tried the GUI on any other nearby machines?

Just tried running the GUI again through the cmd prompt and still having the same issue. I'm using v 5.0.7, with a display res of 1920 x 1080, on a high res monitor. My system model is Z490 AORUS ULTRA. Haven't tried running it on other machines yet. @wjcroft
