Computer Blue Screens when dongle removed

I am using the OpenBCI 16-channel R&D kit (32 bit) with the Windows OpenBCI GUI on a 64 bit Windows 7 system. I am able to connect the daisy module, and run the GUI in Processing. I used the system for two days without any problems. The past two times I have removed the dongle from the USB port my computer blue screened. I haven't done anything differently.

Does anyone have any idea of why this is happening and how I can make it stop?

These posts suggest uninstalling / reinstalling the VCP drivers,

Thanks for the suggestions.

After experimenting the problem seems to be resolved once we updated the driver, updated our Labview drivers, and re-soldered the daisy onto the board.

The past two weeks we have been using it every day and the problem has not occurred again.
