RFD-77101 discontinued - how to build Ganglion?

Hi there,

I'm keen to build myself a Ganglion but I see that the RFD-77101 Bluetooth module is discontinued at all the major electronics suppliers. Is there an alternative available or a place where I can obtain one of these?

I am experiencing the same problem, and I would like some help, is it possible to use the ganglion board through wire or some other equivalent component?

  • Thank you very much, I had already seen this topic but now I will pay more attention. But I will have to wait for the imports to return to normal here in my country before proceeding with my research. Anyway, I can still use the USB micro card to save my data and work on it, correct? Can it be said that if I do not need the data in real time, wireless communication is not necessary?
    Sorry for my English.

Sorry, but although there is an SDcard slot on Ganglion, timing considerations (interference with EEG sampling), prevented writing on SDcard from being practical.

The previous link regarding 'opensource-wifi-shield-parts', was more oriented to a wireless solution for Cyton builders. (Where the RFduino Bluetooth modue is at EOL). BOTH the Simblee and RFduino are no longer being manufactured. Since Simblee is both the CPU (and BLE) on Ganglion, the non-availability of the RFD-77101, precludes building the Ganglion board yourself. Sorry if my previous comment might have been confusing.
